Tragic news: Babcock graduating student loses 8 family members in auto crash


Margaret Okwuikpo, one of the best graduating student from Babcock University’s School of Nursing Science lost eight members of her family in an auto accident which occurred in Port Harcourt,
Rivers state on Friday.

According to The Nigerian Tribune report, Miss Okwuikpo lost her father, grandmother, sisters, brothers and cousin in a motor accident while on their way to the University located at Ilishan Remo, Ogun state to witness her convocation ceremony slated for Sunday.
Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Kayode Makinde, drew the emotion of the audience at the graduation ceremony of the university, when he invited her to the podium for special prayers over the unfortunate incident.
Reports say the family hired a Lagos bound 14- passenger bus from Port-Harcourt which got involved in an accident just 15 minutes after it left the park.
Okwuikpo’s mother, brother in-law and two others are said to be in critical conditions in the hospital.
