Justin Bieber is apologizing for sniping at Lindsay Lohan and her financial woes.

As we previously reported, Bieber went on an Instagram rant, complaining that he's getting unfairly skewered in the media. At the end, he said, "...to those comparing me to Lindsay Lohan look at her 2012 tax statements :)." In other words,  Lindsay's not in his league because she's a loser who's in debt.

Bieber tells TMZ ... "My post was only up for a few minutes but I realized right away that what I said at the end was wrong and distracted from what I was trying to say."

Bieber goes on: "I immediately deleted it and rewrote it so it would show what I was really feeling and those words are up now."

FYI ... After taking it down 10 minutes after posting it, Justin re-posted his comments, the reference to Lindsay had been removed.

Bieber's fans were quick to rally behind him too ... check this video that just surfaced on YouTube.

Justin Bieber is a naive little loudmouth who will pay for his meanness ... so vows Lindsay Lohan.

Sources close to Lindsay say, she was "appalled" when she read what Bieber had written about her in his Instagram diatribe ... in which he said, "... to those comparing me to Lindsay Lohan look at her 2012 tax statements ;)".

Bieber quickly deleted the insult and apologized, but Lindsay is telling friends ... it's too little, too late ... and "karma" will bite him in the ass.
 
We're told Lindsay feels Bieber's comments were "senseless and mean" -- she's never had beef with him ... and has no idea why he chose to single her out, bullying her on an international platform.

Lindsay says she's learned to brush off the negativity ... and chooses not worry about rude, ungrateful, obnoxious little hairless boys.

Justin Bieber has just become hateable -- he's just gone on a rant trashing people in financial straits as losers ... aka Lindsay Lohan.

Bieber's tirade was posted on Instagram ... where he touted how great he is ... "It must be scary to some people to think that this is just the beginning [for me]. I know my talent level ..."

Justin then delivered the douchiest comment since Brandon Davis' rant against Lindsay. Justin says, "... to those comparing me to Lindsay Lohan look at her 2012 tax statements ;)"

Translation -- Lindsay's a loser because she doesn't have any money and he does so he's better than her.

Justin goes on to say he doesn't think he deserves negative press and pooh-poohs stories claiming he's going to rehab.

BTW ... Bieber just deleted his rant.

Justin Bieber's fans have drawn the line -- it's ok to walk the cold streets of London shirtless, it's ok to smoke dope, but show up 2 hours late for a concert and they'll turn on him like wild animals.

Justin's concert in London Monday was slated to start at 8:30 PM ... but he didn't take the stage until 10:30 PM -- and a very young and pissed off crowd roundly booed his skinny ass.

Particularly irritating ... most of his fans have a curfew, which put them in a bad position.

Bieber tried to defend his lateness by tweeting he was actually only 40 minutes late because the opening acts were always scheduled to last more than an hour.

Bieber admitted there was no excuse for being late, but then blamed the media for spreading the word of his tardiness.

Better watch out Biebs -- fame is a fleeting thing.

UPDATE: The photo of Justin Bieber and Kylie Jenner holding hands appears to be an old photo of Bieber and Selena Gomez with Jenner's head photoshopped on.

We have to say we're a bit confused since the photo in question came from Jenner's new Instagram account.

The 18-year-old pop star finally ended things with Selena Gomez just before the new year, and now he's rumored to be dating Kylie Jenner. The pair have known each other for a while and Jenner's sister Kendall is also rumored to be dating Bieber's pal Lil Twist, but are they more than friends?

Rumors the two are dating started after the 15-year-old reality TV star posted a photo of herself and Bieber holding hands to her new Instagram account "Iputthedistrictonmyback." The photo was later deleted, but conversation between Jenner and what appears to be Bieber's secret Instagram account suggests that the pair kiss.

It's still unclear if the Instagram accounts belong to both Bieber and Jenner, and requests for comment to both of their reps have not been returned at this time.
