Oscar Pistorius is planning a private memorial service to honor his girlfriend, whom he shot and killed on Valentine's Day.

The memorial for 29-year-old Reeva Steenkamp is scheduled to take place tonight at the home of Oscar's uncle, where the Olympic sprinter has been staying since he was released on bail last week.

Oscar's rep released a statement, saying, "Oscar specifically requested the memorial service as he continues to grieve and remains in deep mourning for the loss of his partner Reeva."

The rep adds, "Since it is such a sensitive issue, Oscar has asked for a private service with people who share his loss, including his family members who knew and loved Reeva as one of their own."

 Chocolate City Vice President for Music, MI Abaga has moved forward the release date for the first single off his upcoming album from the 21 st of February to the 7 th of March. This postponement is due to an extension on his trip which started with an engagement at Harvard University earlier in the month.

“I would love to be back in Nigeria for the release of my single, he explains. “We are moving this forward so that we can perfect everything we are working on over here.  I would like to thank my fans for their patience, you know me, it would be more than worth it!” He added.

Chocolate City who have hinted that the rapper is working on a major collaboration, have kept mum about the exact specifics. “While we are apologetic that we have to postpone the release, we are certain M.I’s fans will be happy we did. It’s not about how soon the song is released, but that we are getting the good stuff out there. We believe they would love it!” said the Chocolate City representative that has chosen to remain anonymous.

OUCH!!! Nike Suspends Oscar Pistorius

Sportswear giant Nike has suspended its endorsement contract with paralympian Oscar Pistorius following the murder charges against him over the death of his girlfriend.

Nike has sponsored Pistorius since 2007, supplying him with running kit and special soles that he wears on the base of his carbon fiber racing blades.

“We believe Oscar Pistorius should be afforded due process and we will continue to monitor the situation closely,” the company said in a statement, confirming the suspension of the agreement.

Nike, the world’s largest sportswear company, ended a long-standing sponsorship agreement with cyclist Lance Armstrong last year after he was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles because of a doping scandal.

Nicknamed “Blade Runner”, double amputee Pistorius is the world’s highest profile Paralympian and also competed alongside able-bodied athletes in the London Olympics last year.

His sponsorship deals with companies including British telecoms firm, sunglasses maker Oakley and French designer Thierry Mugler are believed to be worth around $2 million a year.
